When I planted wheat in September I gave it a good shot of fertilizer, and I spread potash [with sulfur] where I had harvested wheat. I normally wouldn't spread potash until Nov-Dec. Now I'm glad I did! All fertilizer prices are up.
MAP now $535/ton

MAP a year ago $461/ton

A neighbor sold two loads of excess wheat at harvest. It was worth more then than now! I don't like the prospects for the coming year!

Just ordered my fertilizer for next year.
MAP 750 per metric ton
Potash 529
Urea 556
28 percent liquid 357

Prices in Canadian dollars and a metric ton is 2204 lbs.

Cost just over 25 grand for seed and fertilizer for the one farm of 90 acres!
