Anyone know where to find a needle without the rubber tip.
Need ac part number 70251783 size 45 seat and needle

Have you typed that number in the "search" bar on your device? I have found lots of suppliers for different ALLIS parts doing this.

Rubber tipped float needles are not the problem but know how to install them is

When installing a rubber tipped needle one has to put a set in the rubber tip to have them seat as they should. To put a set in the tip one puts the needle in the seat and then taps on the needle. Then you pull the needle out and look at the rubber tip. You should see a ring in the rubber tip if it has been set like it needs to be. Learned that from an old carb man decades ago. The rubber tip will set on there own but it takes time for them to do that so they leak for while till they have set them self's

I was told to put a small dab of tooth paste on the point of the needle. Then push a small fuel line hose over the other end of the needle and spin the needle back and fourth like you were hand lapping a valve to set the needle in the seat.

i do tractor & chainsaw carb overhauls. i use mity vac to verify that needle tip is fitting correctly in seat.
