Hi All,
I ran across this interesting listing on EBay (item is in Michigan):
https://www.ebay.com/itm/minneapolis-moline-Tractor-Parts-Engine-Transmission-Axl-Pump-Vintage-Machine/223301942328?_trkparms=aid%3D111001%26algo%3DREC.SEED%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20131017132637%26meid%3Dfec18ea37b9147bf89cbc95b2e45494e%26pid%3D100033%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D1%26sd%3D223301942328%26itm%3D223301942328&_trksid=p2045573.c100033.m2042

Looks similar to the wheel loaders for the chassis, but some interesting modifications.

I saw that Moline in Hamtramck on e-Bay. Very interesting. I would like to know more about it as well. The fifth wheel is an obvious add-on. It looks to be very heavy based on the front axle and rear wheels & weights.

That looks like what is left of a Minneapolis Moline Brick Buggy. It would have originally had a device similar to a loader, but with a platform for carrying and lifting bricks up to bricklayers. That part is gone and a fifth wheel plate installed instead.

If a person searches for Moline Brick Buggy on Bing, images of these units appear. One certainly looks like the unit on Hamtramck.

If you look up that serial number the 288 prefix shows to be
Package #69 for West Brick Buggy, Modified Big Mo 600.

If they were moving trailers with that, a trailer with a deep pin setting would let it get into the motor.
