Just bought a ford 8n tractor. It had a very slight white smoke from the crank case breather. I did a tune up on it and the original owner had the spark plug wires in the correct order. I fixed the issue and now there is no white smoke. My question is would the incorrect firing order cause a slight white smoke from the crank case?

Thanks,
Mitchell

As I found out from others here, the white smoke is probably condensation in the engine that has not dissipated yet, because the engine has not reached full operating temperature. Especially noticeable in cold weather, but unless the smoke persists after the engine is heated up, check the crankcase oil color, and/or check engine compression to assure there is no head gasket leakage.
