Hey Guys,

I have never really worked on one of these John Deere Diesel two cylinders. The issue is I am not getting fuel at the injectors. I have fuel through the filters, but not any further. So then I took the cover off of the injection pumps and found that one is stuck while the other functions fine. However, I have not been able to get the rack to move at all. I guess I am not exactly sure where to turn next. This machine has been sitting for probably about three years and went to start it and got nothing. So, what next? Dig into the governor or tear the pumps out and see what I find?

Thanks for any input

Anytime the rack won't move, means there's at least one plunger stuck on ANY inline pump. I recently repaired and tested a JD 70 pumps set for the same issue.

. Good to see that you posted and asked questions . A stuck
Or sticky/stuck fuel rack/injection pump elements is either going to be a no start or a high rpm runaway. You got lucky.
Green Magazine lists several shops that perform 1st rate service on injection pumps, racks and injectors .

Garry Power in Akron Colorado works on and repairs injection systems for 2 cylinder tractors. Sorry don't have a contact number. He is on the John Deere Two-Cylinder Facebook page.
