I am looking for a replacement for the carburetor on a 1929 Caterpillar 15. It does not have to be original just functional as I still use the cat around the ranch. There is no identifying number on the carb. Any thoughts? The engine is a 4 cylinder with a side draft carb and is 220ci. My other thought was to purchase one for an Allis Chalmers D17 which has a 226ci engine and build a manifold. Any help is appreciated.

i had a cat 30 years ago. someone stole the carburetor of it one summer. I went to the local tractor swap meet and bought a carburetor with the same bolt pattern. It worked great. I have no idea what it was off of. when I was pushing hard, I had about 6 inches of flame out of the stack. just like with the original carburetor. good luck

The carb shop site list says an Ensign BeV V-378 was used on the 15, they do a repair kit, the shop is at the link below.
