I am trying to find out which tractor I have. I got it from a friend but he could not give me any information about the tractor. It has a tag on the clutch housing that reads ..Model A480003B002827 . It does not run and I want o get it running but I do not know what model to ask for when ordering parts. The tag say made in Great Britian. Thanks for your help.

By the way, I usually surf this website and find it very interesting and full of knowledge. It helps me to relax.

I did a little quick looking on net. Appears to be the A480003 is type code, The B indicates Britain, (probably Brantford plant) and 002827 is serial number. It looks
like this is possibly a 444 exported to Canada or US. Hope this gives you some where to start researching.

B275 and B 414 were common tractors imported from England. There are others as well.Plus a few that were 'British only'.A picture(s) would be helpful. Help us help you.

It has what looks to be 75 series hood and tin work. Yet they didn't have the lever in the middle out the top like that. So must be earlier than that. The engine number should be on a machined flat surface along the head block joint.
74 series had the tag on the left side of trans case by where your foot would be setting in the seat.

The transmission would match a 414 at least. This looks like a more traditional IH transmission though it appears to be a 4-speed with a Hi/Lo range selector which would yield 8-speeds. How many cylinders?

You got a B414. Search "B414 specifications" and you will get a picture. It has to be ether a 275 or a 414 and the front grill matches a 414.
