Could anyone help me with how to adjust the hydraulic vive on a M. If froze up from not being used and I am trying to bring it back to life. I pulled the cover off, and the 1/4" rod in the end was froze up. I took both nuts off the rod, but did not pay close enough attention to where they were. I put it back like I thought it was, but I only get one side of the valve to work. Not sure if I need to tighten it or loosen it. Can't find my book for help, so thought maybe someone here has had the same issue..

Thank you.

We need to see a picture of the valve. The reason is that original Farmall M hydraulic valves are inside the Belly pump, and have a rod connecting the operator platform area with a lever on the right hand outside of the transission tunnel. Jim

Sounds like the remote control valve. Spring action to return spool to center is on the rod. Some adjustment of the rod with the nuts is to place spool in center of travel related to ports. spool should slide free in the valve and the rod needs to be free to move some inside the spool. Spool will slide all the way out and has a o ring at top it wouldn't hurt to replace. Small clip holds the rod assembly in the spool. If rusted down in there that part can be difficult to free.

yes, the aux valve. and yes it was very hard to get loose. I think i have it all loose. pulling it out I can feel spring pressure but not down. I guess I will look to take it all the way apart....
