just drug home a wide front 230 have a couple weird things going on the serial number plate says modified 230 next line 945 jcr 501 has a really nice 3 point on it not sure what the serial number means any ideas ?? thanks

Many were delivered to specialty companies to create tractors or specific use power sources. From Bean cultivation, to ginseng farming, modifications were made. Speed ranges in transmissions, creeper attachments, long axles, drop axles reversed drive trains, shortened lengthened. Jim

CR stands for Chisholm Ryder. Should have a wider front end axle tube than standard and rear axle housings are wider than normal and has a snap ring on the end of the axle. Probably was a green bean picker once.
