SO I am having to work on the cutterbar. The 2nd turtle shell in had a break on the housing that the top gear screws into. There are 4 allen bolts that go into that house to secure to the lower housing that has the lower gear. I guess one of these bolts came loose and the other 3 were pulled out and the lower casing broke the part the screws go into.

I have purchased the new casing.....and I know you have to start on the end of the unit and take each casing off in order to get to the one that is broke to repair.

My difficulty......I have removed the front and back hex pipe bolt....so the only think is the casing spring around the pipe but it will not pull off. I have removed the lock key on the lower pully side....but have no room to get to the other side to see if there are lock keys there.

I have been told there is a long shaft that goes the length of the cutterbar?..and the shaft that I see inside of the casing with the lower gear will slide off over the full shaft..but I am having no luck...course I am in the field and have about half of my field down and trying to figure this out.
