Need Help with 1945 JD B Hand start.

Finished this tractor about 3 years ago. The owner's mech (82yrs young) has been working on about5 tractors all together for the owner and is a pretty savvy and stubborn fellow. Three or four times in the last year he has had the tractor's transmission and crankcase and transmission fill with gas mixing with oil actually coming out the axle end seals. He says that it could happen if it just sits and idles to long. ??? Friday calls me and says tractor won't start. He says he don't have enough A$$ anymore to turn the wheel. He did put new wires on it. Not the right ones and told him to get solid core wires which he did. Anyway he had the wires connected to wrong cylinder. Started right up after fixing that ran it for a few minutes only. He had a pan already underneath it and a cardboard box under rear of tractor and an obvious little mess that had already been there. After shut down I pulled the crank breather of the top of case and almost no oil in the case. Question is How and Why is the oil migrating to the transmission case. Thanks for any input.

As for gas in crankcase shut gas off at sediment
bulb as soon as you shut er off.as for oil in
transmission the good mechanic has missed an oil
slinger,oil seal and might be part of a
gaasket.cant remember but somebody else might
know but might be a bolt missing letting oil pass
to transmission.seems like there is 1 that will
let that happen

I constantly remind him as I am a firm believer to use the fuel bowl shutoff. He is stubborn and very adamant about that not being the problem. However the main manual does say prolonged idle can cause that. So this issue is without a doubt fixable. The migration of the oil from crankcase to Transmission case is the big issue. Do you have any more thoughts as to where there might be a missing bolt or location of a seal perhaps that could be leaking? I see no seals listed in the parts manual. Could I be missing something?

Wonder if a bad right hand crank seal would let engine oil into the first reduction gear cover thus migrating to the trans and rear end.

I looked through the parts manual the other day that they called me to look at this. Unless I missed something I did not see a Part# or listing for a seal.
