Is the Oliver Green (number 822974) sold by TSC the dark
green for older Olivers, or the lighter green for the 4-digit
Oliver?s?

Depends on how old an Oliver you're talking about. Believe it or not,Meadow Green was what was used on the Fleetlines from 1951 on through the end of the 4 digits. It just looks different in contrast to the red and yellow than it does with Clover White.

That said, the stuff from TSC is Meadow Green but it's darker than it should be. I painted one of my 500s with it and painted the other one with Meadow Green from the AGCO dealer. The one with the AGCO paint looks correct. I painted a Super 55 over the summer using what was left of both. I painted the cast parts with the TSC stuff and the sheet metal with the AGCO. The shadows and the difference in the metal makes it so it's not too noticeable. When both 500s are sitting side by side though, you can really see the difference.
