I have a 1952 8N with a side mount distributor. It has a little oil pipe with a hinged cover. How often should it be oiled and how much? Can't find any info anywhere.

You sure didn't look very hard! Owner's manual tells you that!

Really? Somebody asks a perfectly valid question and your answer is "RTFM?" I don't have a manual. Thanks a lot.

Maybe some nice, respectful person out there answer my question and future people can search and find it to solve their problem. The internet is helpful that way.

I would guess about 3 drops every 6 months would do the job... I would NOT over oil it. Most of then get NO oil.

Maybe someone else willl chime in.

Owner's Manual, "a few drops of SAE20 or 30, every 10 operating hours". You should really get one & read it. Much needed information there.

My 600 has the oiler too. I don't have a manual either,
but try to put 3 or 4 drops in at each oil change. I
seem to forget to do it sometimes, and over the years
I've had no problems.
