My electric marker will only drop and rise on one side of the drill. When I advance the toggle switch to alternate to the other marker arm, it remains in the upright position and will not drop.
There are two solenoids on the drill. How can I test them?
Any other ideas would be appreciated.

Can you run a wire from either a hot side of the battery or from the hot wire already there to the solenoid to check with a ground wire or switch the wires and see if the problem moves with the wires. Or switch the solenoid and see if it moves. If the problem moves with either switching then you have found your problem.
Can a marker switch from an old air planter be mounted to do this. Those were a mechanical operated through the hydraulic system as you raised the planter it would switch the markers automatically no wiring.

Our 955 bean planter did this, & the hyd. valve
that switched the markers got a bad o-ring.
Cleaned it up & new o-rings, & it has been
behaving itself.
