My 16? tandem trailer has split ramps on the back, that the mesh over the years got bent and pushed down in between the supports, sorry I forgot to take a pic today, anyway other than a trailer dealer, does anyone know were to buy that kind of mesh? I haven?t asked the place i buy my metal from yet, but iv never seen the mesh there or anywhere. Thanks

I would ask the place you get your steel from, they should be able to order it for you.

Your steel supplier should have it. Typically it is just expanded metal. Its described by the opening size abd the guage. 3/4 inch 9 guage for example. Comes in raised and flat styles. For a tail gate you want raised style for the traction.

Expanded steel mesh is really only intended for lightweight equipment. If you are having difficulty with it getting bent then it needs more supports or a different system altogether.

I tried rolling a tool box down , ramps with mesh inserts, couldn't do it, has to pull box back on trailer, then cover the ramps with solid so I could use ramps for tool box wheels. mark55
