I found a NH 1431 discbine. I noticed this is a 13 foot machine. I currently have a NH 489 haybine and was wondering if I would have trouble drying hay with the extra 4 foot being put in the windrow. My tedder will handle two 9 foot windrows and I do tedder everything.

We have a 411 discbine you can adjust the width of the windrow with ours I never have to tedder ours unless we are square baleing , BEWARE do not sell your haybine the discbines are great, but the can give trouble and there is nothing cheap on a discbine exept the blades . #2 do not cut anymore than 3 hours unless you are round baling you can cut way more down than you feel like picking up. By the way what size tractor do you have? We have a 886 and it is all it wants to pull it like it is supposed to pulled you will need a least 100hp 6cly is better because of tourqe . A discbine is a very hard pull the cut great and very fast the faster you go and the thicker it is the better it cuts. Just my 2 cents we have been useing one for about 5 years and when they are running they are great when they aren't the stink. The one you are looking at is newer than ours they may have improved on them. If I was buying another one I would buy a New Idea around here they seem to give a little better service .
