So I was out raking hay when all at once the rake stopped spinning. 3 rake teeth bent and got hung in the round loop bar. The hay is not all that thick to boot |

Is your rake colliding with the ground?
Teeth hitting g the ground can get damaged easily. Especially teeth like you get from the cheaper sources like TSC. |

Only place I have to get them is the farm an home places. One of the teeth is so bad the spring part is unwound and now about twice as long as it should be |

When teeth get bent they will come down on wrong side of stripper bars and will stop the rake. Some times stripper bars get bent also so teeth don't line up. I bought a bunch of rubber mounted teeth from Surplus Center several years ago. They seem to work good and I replace very few teeth |

I have a Ford rake with the rubber mount teeth but they break off so fast it would cost a mint to replace them all. One thing I had not noticed that isn't helping is one of the tires is half flat |

And now one of the stripper bars has broken about a 1/2 inch from where it bolts to the front angle iron. I think I'll b able to take it off and weld it back together |

Howdy, I use to buy those teeth from pet food supply (TSC), I now buy from New Holland about $2.00 higher each but a few more years out of them |

I have a few supply stores around.
Runnings sells good teeth.
TSC sells soft teeth, they bend up like pretzels. Terrible. They aren’t worth bolting on if you get them free.
Mills Fleet Farm are good. They actually have a thinner and thicker versions of NH teeth.
From a dealer are good, cost more.
I hear mail order from Shoup is good teeth, you might want to explore this if you don’t have a good local source.

If farming was easy and fun, everybody would want to do it and I could charge admission. |

Yes. trying to plow with a rake doesn't work well. If you see a lot of dust when raking your rake is too low. |
