This is on a 3 cyl 2110 LCG tractor, like a 2 or 3000. It blew a gasket on the hydraulic pump head this summer. I run the tractor about 4 to 6 hours and it blew the gasket again and now I noticed the auxiliary valve is leaking a little between the top-cover and the valve now also. It never did that. Is there a relieve valve in this hydraulic system?
I looked in the parts book and Messicks sight and I can not find anything.
If somebody could point out if there is a relieve valve and what part it would be on Messicks site.
A shop charged me a $100 to replace the gasket the last time and I can't afford this every 4 to 6 hours.

Don't throw parts at the problem, test the system relief pressure first. Relief valves very rarely stick "high".

Bern, Where can I test the pressure? What kind of pressure should it have?
I was thinking of putting a pressure gauge on one of the remote cylinder lines. Would I get a good reading on the gauge as hard as the pump is leaking?

The remotes are before the relief valve as far as I know, so they are not a good place to test the relief valve, but if a remote has nothing connected to it and the handle/spool isn't centered properly then the pressure from the pump can build above where the relief valve might otherwise open.

That is not correct. The relief valve is before the remotes. It would have to be, because if it wasn't, there'd be a lot of busted pumps
every time someone maxed out a cylinder.

Yes, you can test at a remote valve coupler. According to the specs, the relief valve cracks at 2100, and should be full open at 2600. If you
are deadheading the pump, such as you would by using only a pressure gauge, you should see much closer to the 2600 PSI number.

The relief is on the bottom of the case, left front corner as I recall. Looks like a large acorn nut. I think you have to drain the case before you can take it out so check the pressure first.

I took a pressure test on one of the remote lines. The gauge spiked at about 2800 lbs and went down to about 2500 lbs. and held there. So I am thinking that is ok. I looked for an acorn nut on the right lower side of the case, there is nothing like that. On bottom of the right side of the case there is about 1-1/8" plug or looks like a plug. Would that be where the relieve would be?

Bottom, not the side.
