Is it reasonably easy to re-insert pipe after replacing o-rings? If I risk having to drain fluid and pull cover,I'll wait until tractor is back home where I have tools and cherry picker.

Hi, it’s easy enough if you only have the original cap on the top. If the pipe comes out with the cap replace the PTFE washers if fitted on the outside of the O rings. Place the pipe back in the cap. Insert the pipe and ensure that you keep the cap square to the cover in both planes. You will feel when it begins to engage and the gap will be square. When it does, give it one thump with your hand and it should go down with a reassuring’clonk’. Be patient until it’s right.
