My dad has a black belly 7010 with power director transmission, it has about 4000 hours, he has owned it since it was new. He was blowing snow yesterday and the clutch went straight to the floor, he is pretty sure he broke the clutch cable. Parts are ordered should be here Tuesday, looking for what's involved with the job, and possibly the pages in the service manual applicable to this job. I have not looked at anything yet, just going by what he said.
Thanks
John

It may have broken the ball joint or the ball joint bolt at the top or bottom of the cable, instead of the cable. Open the cab door. Remove the three screws that hold down the floor mat at the entrance. Roll the floor mat back out of the way. Remove the black panel that is directly inside the door and goes thru the cab front wall. You can see the bottom part of the cable there. The upper orange panel may have to come off to get at the top of the cable. Adjust cable length so there is no free-play in the pedal. If you don't do this the transmission brake won't work. Replace fork bushings if needed down on the spool valve. They are often times broken. Everything needs to be oiled up to work freely.
