Calling TheOldHokie.
It arrived from Steiner Tractor in a clear plastic package (picture attached). The only label was a white tag with the part number, FDS384.
I have the impression that this oil pump repair kit is in somewhat scarce supply. Other suppliers said it was out of stock, and after I ordered this one Steiner's website indicated the same thing.

Not in short supply as far as I know but between virus and tariffs parts availability is unpredictable. I found several places listing them. Before you use it slap a mic on those two gears - they should measure .561/.562.

Norm Sappenfield is going to rebuild the oil pump for me, Hokie, and I'm sure he will hold his usual tight tolerances.

This is not a tolerance within his control. Its a product quality check that he may or may not think is neccessary. I have been burned enough times its the first thing i do when i get a kit. EVERY kit gets checked before it goes on the shelf and defective ones go straight back.
