Does anyone have experience with water pump repair on a 12-20 crossmotor or know someone I could contact? The stuffing box seals are leaking pretty bad and need replaced. Any help is appreciated.

If they are as simple as the early C's there is not much to them. Take apart, do what ever it takes to tighten up the bushings, and put new rope seals in.

I have a 1935 C and this water pump is totally different. It looks like it just needs new shaft seals in the stuffing boxes, they leak bad.

35 C is completely different than the flat belt 29 to 32 water pump. Condition of the shaft will be your only issue.

Hopefully the shaft isn't damaged, but I do know a good machinist who can build up worn shafts if that's the case.

Thanks, I have a reprint of a parts manual and owners. Just waiting on a service manual to get here.

When you find your shaft rusted out have a stainless one made. You may end up making the impeller also. When I rebuilt my Rock Island several years ago I had to put the 15 pieces of the housing back together and I made all the other parts from stainless and brass.

Any suggestions on how to get the impeller off the shaft without damaging anything? I've got it apart to that point and I'm afraid to get to rough with it.
