I have a Case Model 311 Round Nose that has a Bendix Carb on it. This carb is similar to a Zenith replacement carb that has been advertized
as a replacement for the original Marvel Schriber. When I bought the tractor it had been operating fine with this carb but it got some dirt
in it and needed a re-build. I got the kit and did the rebuild myself. Even though I had done this many times for my Farmalls, that was
many years ago. I forgot to not and mark the throttle linkage and record HOW IT WAS MOUNTED TO THE CARBURETOR! Well, I have the carb back
together and mounted it on the tractor and guessed at the throttle rod and governor positions. Tractor started just fine but of course, it
only races faster than it's supposed to even with the throttle lever on the dash retarded completely to idle.

So, is there anyone out there than can help me with Hoe the throttle linkage Should be mounted to the carburetor and how the governor
should be connected to it?

Help!

Did you remove the actual parts off the throttle shaft where the throttle rod attaches, the governor will be adjusted properly when the rod length is so that it allows the butterfly plate to be wide open and the throttle high rpm stop about 1/16 off its stop on the carb shaft. You may have to vary from that if the governor surges but that will be close.

Forgot, the carb and throttle lever is wide open for those adjustments to be made. Not running of course!

Yes, that's my problem.
I removed the parts off the throttle shaft including the slotted rod with the ball fitting on tip that fits into
the governor rod end. I also don't remember if the slotted rod mounted to the throttle shaft on the carb has the ball connection BELOW the
throttle shaft or ABOVE it. See the way mine currently looks in the pic I supplied. Does it look wrong? Should it be reversed by
loosening it on the throttle shaft and rotating it 180 degrees so the ball fitting for the governor rod is on the top, above the throttle
shaft? The pic I show has the throttle butterfly in the idle position for reference. A picture (as best as can be taken) of a carb
installed with it's linkage on a tractor with the throttle control on the dash in the idle position would be real helpful.
If you have a pic or pictures you can e-mail them to me.

Thanks for all the info and your quick response!

when the throttle is wide open on the tractor the rod moves front toward the radiator, the butterfly in the carb will be wide open when the rod is front, position the throttle connection so it is like that.
