I have a Ford 7710 here that has set for a year now.
It has the 8 speed transmission, no DP.
The transmission was always a little balky to shift, especially into both 1st and 3rd gear.
Now, after firing her up after setting, it will only select 2nd and 4th gears, with a subtle grinding in 1st and 3rd.
The lever and shift rod into the transmission relay cover seem to both be be moving freely.
Any ideas?
Thanks for your input.

Is this a cab tractor with side mounted shifters
If so the plastic bushings at the bottom of the shift levers are known to give issues

I didn't mention that it's an open platform tractor.
The shift levers are set to the RHS of the platform.

If they are on the right side they are the same as used in a cab model
Check the plastic bushings in the bottom of the shifter, replacing them fixed mine.
