I have a Farmall model H with serial # 21790x1. I am a John Deere guy but got a good deal on this IH.. What does the x1 designator at the end of the serial # stand for ??

H man, welcome to YT! In the attached Red Power forum
discussion in a reply by DWM there is a photo of the pages
of a book that shows an explanation of the codes on H
Farmall serial number. From the best I can tell looking at
the book type layout and heading it appears to be an book
printed by IHC. The post is near the bottom of the thread.

Forgot to add, your tractor is a 1940 model incase you did not know.
