is there a diagram of how to convert 6v to 12 system?

Replace coil with 12 volt that has internal resistor is all you change
and 12 volt battery. You can use 6 volt coil and add inline resistor in
wire on + side coil. Best to get 12 coil with internal resister.

You will also need to change your charging system. Single wire 12v alternator easy to install plus switch to negative grounding

Starter remains the same and will work in the same direction as always woth either polarity . Keep starting cycles short , 4 or 5 seconds at a time or else the starter will overheat . The cost of a new one will make your eyes water .
