Any idea where the serial number on a 46A loader is supposed to be located?

Metal tag riveted to the right side diagonal brace, mid-way between the mast and lower frame.

Jim has it. The were only two differences in 46A loaders. The very early ones had the center cross made as a square tube and then it was changed to a pipe instead. The change must have been made early in production as you see very few square ones but I have had a couple. I have a 46A on a 3020. Tom

I should also add there were some different lift cylinders used so you need to measure to get correct seal kits. Tom

Yup, it's right there....hiding in plain sight. LOL

I scoured every inch of the loader not even thinking about the mounting frame. I guess we'll call it a Monday moment.

According to the parts catalog they were built 1963 to 1966.

Tractor it's from is a '65 so we're gonna call it a '65 MY loader. LOL
