Where in Pa. are you located? There are good Case dealers out there.

OK, when I worked For CH Waltz INC, Bob Reese was a good customer at Hublersburg on 64. He ran Case tractors for years. Also Carl Richner and Butch are good friends over at Bellfonte and have fed me a few times when I was there on road service. If I were you I would be using Warner Co. at Troy Pa. for parts, Dan at the counter is a sharp Case AG tractor man. I still do occasional Powershift Jobs, Carry ins , I do not want to get involved with splitting , etc. Send me your info to car.mel@juno.com I'll get hold of you.

Mel: Are you really doing a service by sending someone w/ a 50 - 55 year old tractor to a CASE dealer? This man needs cylinder seal kits. The
kit is no longer available as a kit from CASE. Most parts persons today will see that & shrug their shoulders. However a sharp parts person
will find that the individual pieces are available, at just about $100.00 for the 3 pieces. Our kit is $39.00. CASE will not have engine
parts, and what they do have will be unaffordable. We stock the parts at reasonable prices. How about Tie Rods? The dealer will not have them
in stock, but we stock them at 1/4 the CASE price. The same for what very few parts they can get.

How about engine parts or kits for the SC, DC, VAC, 124, 126, 148, 159, 188, 251, 267, 284, 301, 377, 401, 451? Go into any CASE dealer and
see what they tell you. Don Livingston & I have spent tens of thousands of $$$ to have these parts specially made and on hand.

How about it fellas!! What are your experiences w/ older equipment at the CASE dealer!!

John, I was by no means trying to undercut you, you do a real service to this community, I have not tried to order the above mentioned parts and you may be right about their availability. I have and will continue to use you whenever I can.

I understand what you're saying John, and I will very likely buy a couple seal kits from you. I'd rather not start any kind of war in this thread. Thanks to everyone for the help. Only thing worse than oil leak is a fuel leak!

No war. Mel & I have known each other for many years, and I consider Mel a good friend, and I hope we can intelligently discuss back & forth. That is what this forum is, A Discussion Forum. The older CASE equipment that CASE has forgotten about is an area Don Livingston and we have concentrated in. We hear from customers everyday who have been frustrated by their CASE dealers.
