MF 230 3pt hitch works, bucket does not

I bought a MF 230 with a MF 232 bucket in January and the bucket was working. I got a back blade for it and had issues getting the 3pt hitch to work but finally figured out the valve switch below the seat had to be pointing up to work the 3pt hitch. Now when I put the valve setting back to the original position I can't get the bucket to work. Any ideas?

My remote valve has 3 positions if I remember right. Straight up for 3pt, forward for double acting cylinders and back for single acting. That is how I remember it but don't bet a years salary on my memory.

thanks for the reply. I honestly I don't remember if the is was pointing forward or back originally when the bucket worked, but it doesn't work in either position now. do the draft and position levers need to be in certain position for the hydraulic pump to operate the bucket?

My late cousin's 135 had to have the position lever all the way up for remote operation. There was a 'constant pumping' decal at that position. 230 might be the
same?

Both need to be fully up and position needs to be in the constant pumping position.
