I have had no luck finding an automatic shutoff sediment bowl for a 730 gas. It is nowhere to be found on the net and a Deere used parts vendor at a swap meet basically told me they are not to be found. This is a side mount unit, mounts to the side of the carb, not a unit that screws into the bottom of the tank like the rest of the numbered Deeres.

I still have two options, one option is to make a tank mount unit work by doing some butchering. It's not something I am inclined to do. Tank mount units are available. Second option is to use a regular sediment bowl that has a side inlet and a side outlet. I have been Googling for one of these units all day and have not come up with anything with the large glass bowl like the 730 uses. I do have one side fill sediment bowl with the large glass in the parts drawer that will work but it is older than the hills and has a different design. Instead of a round wire to hold the bowl up this one has a flat strap and a different type of screw on the bottom. It appears to have some kind of a filter with a spring inside. Don't want to mess with it.

So now I am asking you guys if you know of a source for a large glass sediment bowl with side inlet and outlet. New or used but I really prefer good used. The new ones are too cleaply made in my opinion. I do not need or want a fuel shutoff screw on the bowl. I know, I am being picky! By large glass I mean the size glass bowl you see on the A's and B's. Thanks

If you haven't already, try George Persinger at Green Parta of Va.
He makes high quality parts for those automatic shut off sediment bowls.
If anyone knew where to get one, he probably would.
