I am mounting a pickup attachment on my combine and I would like to know what rpm the pickup attachment should turn. That would help me in finding pulley size. Thanks for your help.

Somewhere between 150 to 500rpm for up too about 4 mph. At any rate, it has got to be just a touch faster than your ground speed.

Nothing worse than a pickup that isn't running right. Too slow and it won't bring the crop in right; too fast and it is shelling the stuff.

That's why the variable speeds are so darned handy 'cause you can adjust them on the go.
