Has anyone tried fabricating and using the add-on style position control? I'm looking at something like what's described here: http://fergusontractors.org/nfs/wp-content/uploads/technical-articles/Position-Control-for-20-30.pdf

Does it work? Does it work well? Is it a waste of time?

Youre looking for the Zane Thang. I believe he passed away a few back but look in the archives and you should find a good thread for his
device.

Yes. It works.
Does it work well? With or without worn out hydraulics?
Waste of time in comparison to nothing at all?

Simply looking at the design and thinking out it, one lever drops and the other raises up to counteract.
Yes, you going to get some 'bounce' from the arms as they sag down and then move back up.
How fast? How weak are your hydraulics?
Fluid condition is what?

Zane Thang operates on the same principal.

I installed as per pictures on my Ferguson TEA-20...Smile
For what I was expecting, the device is excellent.:)

HOWEVER,I installed the device so as the three point hitch would stay as per I required when running a John Deere Grass Groomer.......Smile
Installed the device so as when I'm transporting (PTO disconnected) a PTO drive AC Generator, the three point hitch would stay as per I require.........:)

Installed the device so as when I'm attached to my 20' tandem Trailer with three cords of wood on the deck, the three point hitch would stay as per I require....Smile Trailers weight is 3,500lbs empty.

Bob..
