Borrowed this conversation starter idea from another discussion forum. (Not JD)

Saturday I drove it in my first tractor trot.

Today I had it hooked up to the 4240 plow to make some setup adjustments.

Had the gas tank off the 880 and am cleaning up the paint/surface rust. I see it has scrawled on the bottom 'S88 dsl' so that's interesting. Yes, it has the cleanout on the bottom and a copper line
(breather?) on the back near the top. That's never been hooked up.

The line at the top of the tank is for diesel fuel return from injection pump. If your tractor is gas, plug the hole with a pipe fitting. It doesn't need a breather, the gas cap should be vented
