(1949 VAC Case) I have my high pressure hydraulic pump removed, but do not need a complete disassemble. All I need is to remove the control pin to repack it. I have a leak at that shaft. The schematics show a packing washer and packing (Service Manual). Anyone know how to do this?? Service Manual does not tell how to do this part. The packing nut can be screwed out about a quarter inch and then butts up to the bronze part with the spring return for the control lever.
The pin must be removeable somehow. The bronze part must be a press fit on the shaft and resists removal. Don't want to force anything here, so seeking sage wisdom. (Pictured in the Service Manual on P. 131-32 #'s 4,5,6,7,8 ; Fig. C-243)
