Well, it's been 2 years since I tore my side mount 8N apart, and now I can't remember which way that little triangular piece of metal goes on. It's the one that mounts on the bell housing and the throttle spring hooks onto it. Does the little spring hole go up or down? It is bent like down, but that makes the spring awfully tight. Any help would be most appreciated.

Jerry, I believe the hole points down. I checked a few tractor pictures before I bolted mine in place. HTH Flyer
