On my JD4400, hydraulics work fine but using lift it seems like relief valve is intermittenly working. This is when lift is holding pressure. My dealer said may be some adjustment but I can't seem to see any in tech manual. I'm wondering if this was a normal condition of these. When you touch the control it will stop.

If this is only when the 3pt. is all the way up there is an adjustment so it doesn't sit there and squeal the relief valve. Somewhere along the linkage that hooks to the control lever there should ? be a threaded spot with jamb nuts for adjustment. With no load on the hitch all the way up you should be able to lift up on the arms by hand and get an extra 1/2" ? of free play.
