I am looking to buy a disc mower, just checking out the options on mowers . Right now I am leaning towards a vicon cm 2400. Any thoughts or suggestions from someone who has used them would be appreciated. Joe Daugherty

I had a Vicon CM2400. Assuming you are buying it new, it is a good mower. The 3 blade cutter head cuts extremely well. If you get it, I recommend you run it briefly, get the oil hot, then change the oil in the cutterbar and gearbox so as to remove any metal chips left from the machining process. Then change the oil yearly. Use it carefully and maintain it well and it will last a long time. It will cut as fast as you can sit on the tractor seat. 60 hp will handle it fine.
