Tranmission is stuck in gear, I read a lot of posts here and found out to take off the side cover and align the gears to neutral. Problem now is, I can"t get the forks back on the gears...........any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

I"m new to this site, great site.

You will need a flash light and a steady hand. If the forks are in good shape they fit in the grooves you can see in the picture below. Those two gears will slide to where the forks will slip in and over the two gears. Probly took three trys the first time I did it.

Hey- thank you for the picture. The housing is full of ICE and water, I need to to drain it out and then re-lube it. I couldn't really see what I was looking at, the fender is in the way.
I'll try this tomorrow.
