I have got a 930CK Western Special, chain drive with 6 speed trans & hand clutch. The serial number is 8280626 which I believe a 1966 model. Does anyone know when the production of this model stopped and at what serial number?

thanks,
John,
Toowoomba, Au.

I have a 1966 CK chain drive. and I was around in 1966 and 7 and I believe 1966 was the last year for the chain drive. Some new 1966 chian drives were sold in 67 but they were carryovers. I have a 1979 2390 I bought new in 80 and was told it was a 80, but when I ck"ed the serial number I found it was a carryover 79. So much for the way case sold their tractors. I understand IH was worse. I also have a 29 L of the first run of chain drives.
