Just spent the last 3 days rewiring and repairing several small issues on my 57 "big" 600 lp. It sat all winter and spring and just got back to it. Anyway, it cranks fine, is getting spark, but will only fire occasionally, and won't start. I'm certain it is a fuel issue, but have no experience with lp tractors till now. Love this machine, but am pretty frustrated. Followed book procedures, etc. and need help from the experts. If anyone is in/near North Central Oklahoma and want to help in person - great - but any suggestions appreciated.

I had a similar experience a few days ago with my DC LP gas. Unfortunately it was because I had failed to drain the regulator and water had sat in it and rusted the backing plate all to pieces. Fortunately I had a spare on the shelf. I will now religiously drain the regulator. Until I forget, I suppose. Good Luck finding the problem. Don

You want to start it on vapor. Need air cleaner and air inlet system clean and not clogged. Oil at proper level in the oil bath air cleaner. Need oil in it and filter on for fuel to draw properly in the carb too. Shouldn"t hear or smell LP coming out anywhere when vapor is turned on or bubbling in air cleaner or you probably have diaphrams or valves blown out of the regulator vaporizer unit. Not getting fuel may have valve problems or safety valve stuck shut. A LP fuel supplier can fix the valves or will have new ones. Ensign regulator vaporizer system and filter ? Make sure the filter is clean and flowing too and a line or valve not plugged up. A place in Lone Wolf, Oklahoma has Ensign parts and kits for the regulator vaporizer and can help you with it more. They or your local LP dealer can help if you have Impco or other brands too.
