Inherited 995 case. Not sure how the manifold heater is suppose to work. Replaced the part. Part heats up with key in heat position. What is the purpose of diesel line connected to it? How long should heater be on before starting? Thanks for any information.

THE MANIFOLD HEATER BURNS THE DEISEL. WHEN THE KEY IS TURNED ON THE POWER OPENES THE SOLENOID TO LET THE FUEL IN AND THE ELEMENT BURNS IT. THE KEY SHOULD BE LEFT ON FOR ABOUT 15 SECONDS.
