bought an older case b backhoe (mid 70s). the thing ran/moved great until i changed transmission fluid. now it just barely moves. sometimes after its been moving for a period it will start moving great. wondering if theres a transmission filter im missing thats pluged? bought a manual cd but its junk. it did show a torque converter dip stick but i cant find on my hoe.

Yes, the transmission filter is in front of the radiator on the left. It is in the canister with 4 bolts retaining the cover.

do you think that might be the problem? if the filter is there i did replace it but a couple months prior to doing the trans fluid. as stated the darn thing worked great until i changed the fluid. do you know if theres a dip stick for the converter? could the fresh fluid have pushed gunk through the filter that may have plugged it up?
thanks
