Hello, fellow tractor enthusiasts.
I recently acquired a 57 Case 311, and have been getting to restore the tractor. I have been getting a little confused. Would my tractor be a VAC, or VA or am I not even on the right basis here. I haven't been able to figure out the models yet? Thanks for all the help.

The 311 is the row crop tractor in the 300 series. The 300 series is a direct decendant of the VA series and it replaced the VAC and SC.The 300 series was an all new tractor with many advancements such as live power and triple range transmission.
Good luck and keep us posted,Nick

The VAC had a 124 cu. in. engine, whereas the 300 has a 148 cu. in. engine. Dandy tractors!.
