I use my VAC with a 3 pt finish mower. When mowing in second rear and stopping to shift into reverse it almost always is hard to get out of second. If I let out the clutch a little while pulling on the gear shift it comes right out. It will also come out easily if I pull it out while the tractor is still moving forward right before it comes to a complete stop. Without the mower no shifting problems. What would cause this?

I have a 6ft finish mower on my VAC. Whenever I stop I always step on the brakes that seems to stop the gears and allows me to shift immediately. If I coast to a stop after stepping on the clutch I have to wait for the gears to stop spinning. I do not have an overrunning clutch on the mower. That might make it easier for you.
