1949 WD Zenith carb problems

My carb is giving me problems so I am trying to find a rebuild kit. the tag that is supposed to be on the carb is broken off. It looks almost identical to my buddies carb on his "B". the only difference is that i have a needle valve that screws into the rear of the tractor sid eof the bowl. Can anyone help me identify this so that i can get a rebuild kit? thanks.

A kit for a Zenith 10981-224749 should work.

If the carburetor for your 1949 WD is original it is probably a kerosene carburetor.
The kit # I posted is for the gas.
The kerosene # is 9707-213348.
From my records all the 1948 and 1949 WD"s were alcohol or kerosene and then in 1950 they went to Marvel, Zenith and Carter gas carburetors along with the alcohol and kerosene ones.
I may be wrong but that is the carburetor info I have.

thanks again. the rebuild kit i found works for both carbs. i found a kit on ebay that seems to be what im looking for. its about $25 which is cheaper than the rest I have found locally

See it the higher dollar ones come with new shafts,bushing and shaft seals. If they do I would spend the extra and get that kit if the cheaper one doesn"t have them in it.
