Does anyone have a good Dupont paint code for the Dark Green Paint as used on the Case Steam Engines and implements? The Code I got from Richard Erb's book, "Full Steam Ahead", 066DH is not a valid code anymore according to my supplier. |

The dark Green I use is simply Oliver green. I have seen 99L8748(NAPA), and 40249(PPG)listed as Case green. Maybe your supplier can cross it from those numbers. |

Thanks, for some reason they cannot cross numbers for me. I'll try the Oliver green. |

Jim, just a word of caution.
I think anytime someone talks about using Oliver green, they are talking about the old Oliver greem. The meadow green that Oliver started using in about 1953 and used up 1975 would not be correct.
The old oliver green is simular to New Idea green, but a little lighter. Van Sickle paint company has the old green in spray cans as well as quarts and gallons. If you can get a spray can it would give you an idea as to what I am talking about. |

Is it correct to say that the old Oliver green is a lighter green than the new? |

The 40249 should cross to DuPont # 5800. The book I have lists 4 different greens so it is hard to know which is correct. Lee |
