How hard is it to find parts for the Allis Chalmers tractors
my dad is thinking about getting a diesel maybe a D-17 or D-19
or even a later 170
are there any problems with any of these tractors
how dependable are the early Diesels
Thanks

a series 4 D17 diesel or a 185 would be a good choice. The only 170 diesel I was around shook like crazy.

The early Buda/AC diesels in the WD45,D17,D19 were troublesome. As much as I've always wanted one, I don't need that headache.
I once had a 170 diesel. I wish I never sold it.
