I have an opportunity to pick up this AC model B from a friend of mine. His father was into restorations, and passed away. My friend has no interest in restoration. This machine ran when parked, but has sat as is for about 5 years.

Can anyone offer me any advise on a fair price I should offer? I want it 'cheap' of course, but don't want to short-change my buddy.

Thanks guys.

It is not a B, it is a C. One sold like it last summer, here in Ohio, for around $1100.

serial # will be right in front of shift lever, will help ID tractor. Wide front end C's bring a better price than narrow. Price range $1500-$2000

Real nice looking tractor but with it not running a guy has no idea if it did run and how well it did or did not run. Also if it sat that long will ir even turn over or is the engine locked up. Many factors come in to play on the price of something like that and just because it looks good does not mean it is any thing more then a parts tractor. So to price it as is just a tad over scrap price due to the tires and looks. Now if it runs then that is a different story

Nope that is not the serial number that is a casting number. The serial is just forward of the sifter and will start with in this case a C then the number

Ok, well the serial number plate is not present then. This is the only ID that I could find.

There is no plate the numbers are stamped into the trans housing just forward of the shifter so if you setting on the tractor and grab the shifter in your hand then slide you hand down and point forward you finger should be right over the top of that number and as I said it will start with a C
