I am having problem using my three point hitch. Loosing fluid and it's ending up in the transmission. Took the shifter cover and don't see a return. Assuming the return is leaking into the transmission. Anyone have any info???

Thank you

Sounds like the 3 PT Hitch cylinder is leaking hydraulic fluid into the back section. Fluids are isolated, no return, so when it leaks out of the cylinder, it lowers the fluid level from which it was pumped out of, & raises the fluid level in the back section. 3 PT Piston needs new seals.

John my 530 and 580 both have return lines from the rockshaft pan to the torque tube, I also agree that it sounds like the seals are leaking more than normal though, I will try to scan the parts page later and I do have a extra rockshaft houseing I can take a pic of cnt

Thank you. I only have parts of the manual. I don't find this stuff in what I have. I plan on taking the transmission cover off today.

Took it apart this afternoon. There is no return line. The seal is shot. Need to get new parts.
