    Retro fit oil cooler for models 1855 etc

    I have an oil cooler on my 1655. It seems the O ring under the oil cooler against the filter base is leaking. Does the bolt that goes through the center of the oil cooler have a Torque value? Or do I need a new thicker O ring? Where can I get one?

    Is 80 psi oil pressure too high on start up? After 30 min idle it runs about 50 psi.

    What kind of trouble? I'm just getting this tractor back running after major overhaul. It's been down almost 4 years now. If compression is lower on #1 will I have to tear it all down again?

    Trying to get the miss out of this engine. Put two new injectors in 5&6 after the exhaust manifold on 5&6 was cool to touch. Now number 1 is cool to touch. 2 thru 6 are very warm. Engine doesn't miss now except at very low idle. Thoughts?

    I've been adjusting the timing for the injection pump. I think I've got it leveled out. Now I hear something tapping/hitting in the clutch. If I press in the pedal the tapping goes away. What could it be?

    Virgil Does this mean run a jumper from #2 pin on alternator to the output terminal? And run the orange wire from the key switch to #1 terminal on alternator? Get a 3 wire alternator and connect output as on original alternator, loop #2 pin of edge plug down to output and connect orange wire...

    Can someone tell me the valve positions at top dead center for 283/310 direct injection diesels? I've set the valve lash to .030 and I've got too many loose rocker arms. Should I set them tighter or do I have another problem?
